Bernice Gyamfi is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of Ohana Mental Health. With over 9 years of experience in the field, Bernice has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practices, and community settings. Her experience spans across treating a wide range of mental health conditions, from anxiety and depression to more complex disorders like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Bernice believes in a holistic approach to mental health care, considering the physical, emotional, and social aspects of well-being. Her approach to care is one that is strengths-based, culturally sensitive, person-centered, holistic, trauma-informed, and collaborative. Her goal is to partner with clients to develop a trusting relationship with clients so that clients can actively participate in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan that fits their needs. She strives to empower patients by helping them gain valuable insight into their mental health, fostering healing, and supporting sustainable changes for improved well-being.
