Starting therapy is a brave first step, and that’s something to be proud of!
As a person and therapist, I believe in the power of listening. Because there have been times in my life I’ve not felt heard, I understand the impact that can have on a person. On the other hand, I know that talking to someone that truly listens in a non-judgmental way can promote validation, healing, and connection. I would love to be that person for you throughout your journey.
I come to therapy with a systemic and strengths-based approach. Everything that you have experienced thus far makes you who you are. Together, we will understand and work through those experiences so that you can become your best self. While you may have areas you want to improve upon, it’s also important to focus on your existing strengths. You are resilient!
Others describe me as kind, understanding, empathetic, non-judgmental and a great listener. I am currently in graduate school at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, so in my free time I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, traveling, going to sporting events, and having game nights with family and friends.
I am interested in working with adults, couples, families, and kids in the following areas:
Grief and loss
Life transitions
Self-esteem
Anxiety
Guilt and shame
Adjustment Issues
Relationship conflicts
Depression
I hope to be alongside you during life’s challenging moments, as well as celebrating your accomplishments and happy times. I am so excited to be here with you on your brave journey!
