Licensed Psychologist

she/her

Jessica is a licensed psychologist who finds herself incredibly inspired by the unique human ability to build a meaningful and authentic life despite the darkness that many of us face. She views her role as a therapist as two-fold: validating that you are doing the best you can given the skills and resources you already have, while also empowering you to grow through new ways of thinking about and coping with difficult circumstances. She strives to work collaboratively with you to examine your values, foster resilience to overcome challenges, and move towards a life of purpose.

Jessica has a particular interest in working with struggles related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and identity development. She specializes in working with individuals who identify as “perfectionists, “people-pleasers,” and “overachievers” and find these traits are holding them back from a meaningful life.

An individualized and person-centered approach to therapy is central to Jessica’s work with clients. Outside of this, her approach integrates aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and positive psychology.

Jessica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Psychology at Drake University and her Master of Science and Doctorate of Psychology at Georgia Southern University. She has been practicing therapy since 2016 in a wide variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, inpatient hospitals, and college counseling centers.
