Hi, I'm Katie. I'm really glad you're here.
Choosing a therapist is a unique assignment.-you look at a photo, skim a few paragraphs, decode a handful of therapy acronyms, and somehow decide who you'll trust with your story. If you've made it this far after scrolling through profile after profile, welcome.
I've been a psychologist for nearly 20 years, and I remain deeply committed to this work. I'm endlessly fascinated by people - their stories, their adaptations, their creativity, their contradictions, their resilience, and the incredible capacity they have for change. I'm honored by the trust people are willing to place in me. Being invited into this process is one of the greatest privileges of my career, and I can't imagine doing work that feels more meaningful.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life's many unexpected twists and turns. My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and incorporates Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). More than any specific method, the heart of therapy is the relationship we build together.
We'll do serious work. We'll identify patterns that keep you stuck, learn practical skills, and make room for difficult emotions. And we'll make room for laughter, perspective, and the wonderfully imperfect experience of being human. I'm comfortable sitting with the hard stuff and just as comfortable celebrating your wins and noticing your strengths.
Clients consistently tell me they appreciate my responsiveness. Feeling supported isn't just about what happens during our sessions; it's also about knowing your therapist is engaged, reliable, and genuinely invested in your care.
Outside the office, you'll usually find me near the water, traveling, reading a good book, spending time with my family, or explaining to anyone within earshot why this latest houseplant was absolutely necessary.
If something you've read here makes you think, "I could see myself talking to her," that's a pretty good place to start. Reach out- I'd be glad to connect.
