Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

they/them/their

I’m Kei Skeide! a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, currently accepting new clients. I specialize in working with queer and trans individuals, couples, and families, offering a collaborative and affirming space to explore identity, relationships, and healing. I also specialize in somatic-based therapy with individuals and couples, and I’m currently training in Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy model. My work includes supporting couples and polycules (of various sexual and erotic orientations) navigating challenges related to executive dysfunction, discernment, and transitioning into co-parenting roles. I accept BCBS, Cigna, and Aetna insurance, and facilitate a weekly online process group for queer adults (18+). Additionally, I lead both in-person and virtual DBT skills training groups specifically designed for LGBTQ+ individuals.

I’m also a PhD student in the Couple and Family Therapy program at Antioch University New England, where my research centers on the intersections of technology, ethics, and queer relational care. This summer, I’ll be presenting “On the Necessity of Tech Pessimism: Philosophy in Systemic Therapy” at the AFTA conference later this week, and co-leading an Advanced Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR) on Human-Technology Relationships: Digisexuality, Digital Attachment, and Digital Health at the 2025 AASECT National Conference in Las Vegas next week. Beyond theory and tech ethics, I love gardening, cycling, (badly) golfing, cooking Japanese and Filipino food, and getting immersed in RPGs.
