Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

People often reach out when something feels off or when life starts to feel harder to manage on their own. I focus on creating a space where people feel heard, respected, and supported as we work together to understand what is happening and what might help.
I have worked as a nurse practitioner for over 10 years, with 7 years devoted to psychiatric care for children, teens, adults, and older adults. My background includes practice in the Mayo Clinic Health System and Essentia Health across a range of settings. In addition to clinical work, I am a professor in the graduate nursing program at The College of St. Scholastica.
I offer in-person appointments in Edina, with telepsychiatry available throughout Minnesota. Appointments are intentionally unhurried, with time to talk things through, ask questions, and make decisions together. When medication is part of care, it is approached thoughtfully and conservatively, always guided by individual goals and preferences.
